ROBINSON WEEKS PARTNERS TO CLOSE ON SECOND INDUSTRIAL LAND SITE IN MEMPHIS

Atlanta, GA – Robinson Weeks Partners (www.RobinsonWeeks.com), an Atlanta-based real estate development and acquisition company, announced it has closed on a 23-acre tract in the Memphis, TN for its second industrial development project in the city. The site is located within the Distriplex Farms master planned park at the corner of Mineral Wells Road and Global Drive and within close  proximity to the BNSF Intermodal facility and the Federal Express and UPS hub at Memphis  International Airport. The project will be branded Memphis Global Crossing II.

Robinson Weeks Partners is closing on this site after the recent success they had with their first project in Memphis, Memphis Global Crossing which was sold to and will be occupied by DHL  Supply Chain and was also located within Distriplex Farms. “Memphis Global Crossing was the first  speculative development in Memphis proper in almost a decade. For the project to be sold to DHL shows the strength and confidence users have with the City of Memphis”, stated David Welch, CEO of Robinson Weeks Partners.

Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland stated, “despite the COVID epidemic, these projects show Memphis  continues to have momentum and these world class logistics assets provide needed construction jobs and long-term employment for Memphians when occupied by global firms such as DHL.”

Memphis Global Crossing II will be a 318,240 SF distribution building with 32’ clear ceilings. The front load building can be divided for multiple users and will feature 42 dock doors, 135 auto parking spaces, and 59 trailer parking spaces for national and regional distribution. The site is located 2.5 miles from the BNSF Intermodal Facility, 8 miles from the FedEx and UPS Hub at Memphis International Airport, and 2 miles from Highway 78 (Lamar Avenue)/I-22.
